This DIY Wall Art from Sara at Mr. Handsomeface Blog just may be the most awesome DIY we’ve seen in a long time! It’s super easy, super cheap, and super awesome looking! We’re so glad Sara agreed to let us share it with you!
What You’ll Need:
- a stretched canvas
- big paint brush
- white acrylic paint
- Mod Podge
- tissue paper in primary colors
Now Let’s Get Crafty…
step one – give your entire canvas a good coat of white paint
step two - cut out 3 circles from your tissue paper while you wait for your canvas to dry
step three – experiment with layout! make sure the canvas is dry first!
step four – once you decide where the first circle will go, spread a thin coat of Mod Podge on the canvas and carefully place the circle into position. Smooth out any air bubbles and wrinkles with your brush as you go.
step five – carefully add another coat of Mod Podge over the circle. emphasis on carefully because the paper will rip very easily!
step six – repeat steps four & five with the next two circles
step seven – wrap the edges of your circles around the canvas and seal them down with Mod Podge. again be careful not to rip!
step eight – give the whole thing one more coat of Mod Podge to seal it up
Let it dry and tah-dah! You now have some fabulous new wall art!
