In my family, Thanksgiving has always been an all day event starting early with a special breakfast of zucchini and eggs while everyone watches the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade and ending late into the night with second and third servings of pie and tea. To say we serve several courses, is a bit on an understatement. Not being a big fan of turkey (I know it’s criminal, but true), I look most forward to the appetizers and sides.

When I came across this recipe for Bacon Wrapped Buffalo Chicken Jalapeno Poppers by Closet Cooking, I immediately thought they would make a great addition to the slew of apps we like to have before the sit down meal this holiday. I especially like that they are a more sophisticated and fresh version of the fun kind of finger food that appeals to younger members of the family. My brother refuses most vegetables and anything that would not otherwise be found on an Applebee’s menu, but I could totally see him eating and enjoying these. For the recipe visit Closet Cooking.
